Loose ends

For those that follow my Sina Weibo, you must already know the story behind this outfit. Actually it wasn’t planned at all – not that I always plan ahead my outfits but I did have something in mind yesterday, which was denim shirt, faux fur vest, leather pant and leopard print heels. Pretty bold and intense, huh? I was just about to fantasize what the photos would look like and perhaps I should wear a pair of sunnies to appear nonchalant, when an email from HR abruptly ended my dream, apparently I would have an interview to attend today. So not even one piece of garment listed above is appropriate to wear…

Too frustrated to come up with any outfits better than my planned one (maybe the reason that I got upset is because I rarely plan ahead and something unexpected happened when I actually do), I decided to go with loose and comfortable clothes, ones that will not flatter much my silhouette but who says that clothes only serve the purpose of appearing slimmer and taller than one actually is?

I never say no to saturated bright colors, and in fact I look more energetic in those colors than darker neutral tones. There are times that I want to be minimalistic and times that I want to embrace my inner Anna dello Rosso – who doesn’t, by the way?

Oh and, I’m not forgetting my planned denim x faux fur outfit, I promise I’ll show it to you very soon!

xx, Chloe

  1. Slimness is definitely not the only theme of beauty. You are defining what you are wearing not the other way around.
