Outside My Comfort Zone

So being a normal person without Candice Swanepoel waistline or Gisele Bunchen legs means that I constantly find myself looking into styling tips that make one looks taller and slimmer. Of course, by now I’ve accumulated a handful tips of my own, which actually help a lot in putting together complimenting outfits that make me feel confident and comfortable, but that is not exactly what I would like to discuss in today’s post.

I posted a soft palette outfit featuring this side slit sweater last week and received quite some positive feedback from you lovely people on different platforms, so I know that works. But I am not going to just stick to that because otherwise some day I won’t feel the fun any more. Stepping outside of my comfort zone, I am pairing the sweater with a pair of wide leg pants and ballerinas. I would be lying if I tell you that I just bravely embraced this new outfit idea – in fact I kept telling Damien to bend his knees and go lower, and lower, because I fear that my petite silhouette will get drowned without showing any legs or due to the lack of heels.

But here it is, the result is not as bad as I thought it would be. Knowing something works is definitely going to make our lives easier, but how about pushing some boundaries now and then – not just for fun, but try to know more about ourselves, about what more works, and what doesn’t. Do you agree with me? Or do you prefer to play safe and think I’m trying a bit too hard? 😉
